"Asian" Mother of the Year in the UK
Hey-my boys are swell, those sluts were asking for it or something.
What a Massive Load of Dog Squeeze
This is total bullshit.
If there is a rise in "mental disorders" it's because EVERYTHING is a "mental disorder" now.
Bad hair day-Follicle Unrest Syndrome.
Short? Vertical Height Challenged Syndrome.
Brat having a tantrum? Behaviourally Regressive Angst Syndrome.
I am so sick of it.
Strangely Related:
How psychiatry went nuts.
Just remember, there are no diagnostic tests that can prove a mental illness. That is not to say that people can't be helped by drugs when they are clearly suffering from some kind of brain illness. However, given that there are no conclusive tests for ANY psychiatric illness, one has to take many of these faddish diagnoses with a grain of salt.
The Book of Woe indeed.

The Content of One's Prayers-Liberty Under Assault in America
This is an outrageous abuse of power, and an outrageous assault on liberty in America.
IRS: Please detail the content of the members of your organizations' prayers.
I'm sorry-the only appropriate answer to that is: PISS OFF.
The content of prayer is between an individual and G-d.
What kind of disgusting, power-hungry, atrocious bureaucratic culture has been festering in America and for how long?
How deep is the rot?
I cannot believe Americans will take this sitting down.
It's none of anyone's damned business what anyone prays for.
It's none of the IRS's business, nor any other bureaucrat in any country to ask someone about the content of their prayers.
Please detail the content of the members of your organizations' prayers.
My American friends-please consider these eleven words very carefully.
This statement-this request made by the IRS to American citizens is the writing on the wall.
It is the highest level of arrogance to insert the IRS between man and G-d for political, partisan purposes.
This is despicable conduct.
Please detail the content of the members of your organizations' prayers.
Don't say you didn't see it coming.

Spurned by the Obama Administration
Thanks for the intelligence, I'll do my victory lap now and by the way-piss off.
Also still in jail for blasphemy-the You Tube guy.

The Great Caroline Glick: Obama and the "Official Truth".
This is a knock out essay.
A really, really, really good one.
You have to read the whole thing.
From AP to Z (Street):
What is the modus operandi of the Obama administration?
"To establish an “official truth” about all issues and events, and use the powers of the federal government to punish all those who question or expose the fraudulence of that “official truth.”
Correct.
Well said.
Right on the money.

Melanie Phillips: The Cult of Permisiveness
Melanie Phillips asks: Why is the Left so blind to the link between today's sex scandals and the cult of permissiveness?
The reason that the Left is "blind" to it, is because they think it's fabulous.
Phillips also mentions what I have been saying for a long time: sex "education" is grooming.
Period.
Here's a great nugget, and so true:
"This is all staggeringly perverse. Man-bashing feminism has much to answer for in creating a climate that came to tolerate the abuse of women and children."
"Demonising men as at worst violent and at best irrelevant, it told women they could and should go it alone.
Men took them at their word and started routinely playing the field — thus treating women and children increasingly as objects to be used and discarded."
"So why are people now shocked by the debauchery that has been unleashed?"
"If you remove constraints on sexual behaviour, this is precisely what you get."
"Permissiveness and sexual abuse are two sides of the same coin."
"We are now merely reaping what we have sown."

Detroit Broke, But Finds $22K for Travel to Hawaii
Nice work if you can get it.
I love this part-it's just that the conference happens to be in Hawaii this year, OK?
No biggie!!

Steyn: This is Serious Business.
Mark Steyn speaks to Hugh Hewitt each week and there are always little gems within each interview.
I was reading the transcript of this week's interview, and this piece jumped out at me:
"Look, I think this is serious stuff."
"I think for a start, the IRS has more powers than comparable revenue agencies in other free societies as it is. So if it’s using those powers to punish its enemies, then that’s something that everybody who fills in a tax return ought to be concerned about."
"They’re asking freeborn American citizens what books they read, if their relatives are planning to run for office. And if you decline to answer these questions, they’re going to come into your lives and destroy your life."
"At some point, Americans have to, and these so-called independents, have to decide whether they still wish to live as free people, or whether they’re going to go along with all this stuff, because isn’t it cool to have Obama as president. I mean, those two things are becoming incompatible."
Seems to me that Steyn has identified the main problem with the Obama administration. There is creeping totalitarianism that the mainstream media are only now starting to talk about.
Can America be free under the current Obama administration? Looks like that is not possible-and nobody should be surprised.
BONUS:
In which Mark Steyn wishes for a Global Jewish Caliphate to take over the world.

Math is Hard: One in 10 under 25s is Muslim in the UK
Math is really, really hard-but even someone like me can understand this:
You are witnessing the demographic point of no return in the United Kingdom.

The Instapundit-After IRS, Benghazi, Should I Trust Government?
It's looking like the answer to that question is a big, fat NO.
I wonder if we are reaching the tipping point with this administration.
It seems to me like a lot of the left wing media in the US is finding it damned near impossible to ignore these scandals or make excuses for the current administration.
And, as Professor Reynolds points out-abuse of the IRS against political enemies was one of the articles of impeachment against Richard Nixon.
An excellent article.

Who Are the People in Your Neighbourhood?
In your neighbourhood, in your neighbourhood-WELL....
Who are the people in your neighbourhood....
They're the people that you meet, when you're walking down the street...
Imagine the coincidence!
Bernie Farber with the YRP Officer who intimidated Rabbi Mendel Kaplan.
Seriously-what are the chances?
Interesting that Diversity Officer Ricky is the only person not tagged in this lovely photo.

Kathy Draidle Asks: What's So Wrong About Being "Anti-Islam"?
I think it's a fair question.
Here's another question.
Is it wrong to hate mint chocolate chip ice cream? Because I really, really, really hate it. I also really, really hate decaffeinated coffee-it's a real crime against humanity.
My husband is Persian Jewish. He really, really hates gefilte fish. Does he have to like it? Is it hate speech for him to say "I hate gefilte fish"? What if he put that on the internet?
What's the difference between hating a flavour of ice cream and hating a religion, temperature or ethnic food or religion? Why is there any difference? And yes-I understand that PEOPLE HATE JEWS.
So? They hate us. Big. Freaking. Deal.
So, in a democracy why is it OK to hate a certain song or nail polish colour, but not a certain group of people?
I'd like a lefty to explain it to me.
