Yeah, Baby! We Need This In Toronto!

Kosher  BBQ contest.

OH MAH GAWD. Sounds amaaaaaaaazing.

Iraq Vets Warn Obama: You Will Have Blood on Your Hands

Not that he cares, of course.

American blood, to him, is not American treasure.

Watch President Obama Squirm Trying to Explain Away Iran's "Death to America" Stance

He is a despicably evil man.

Worst President in American history.

Monday Jewlicious Link Dump

You know the drill, busy, busy, busy OY AM I BUSY.

But, there are a bunch of things going on in the world that are really making me sick, so I have to share them with you.

In no particular order.

Eurabia is doomed:

Danish lefties prefer national suicide to curbing mass immigration.

Anjem Choudary get thrown in the clink, looks forward to prime proselytizing time. This is another band-aid solution, 'tough talk' baloney "solution" to an immigration policy problem.

America is screwed:

As per the great Mark Steyn "the mullahs are nuking us and American leaders are talking about transgendered washrooms"...make that toys.

Priorities!

This is your city on liberalism: frustrated NYC cops take pictures of swarms of homeless bums, post on social media, disgusted by decline under commie mayor.

As the NY Post puts it, '20 years of clean-up pissed away'.

What else?

Via Instapundit, a glimpse into the mind of leftists when it comes to free speech: vilify free speech advocates, plain and simple and try to turn them into "crazies".

"Speech nuts, like gun nuts, have amassed plenty of arguments, but they—we—are driven, too, by a shared sensibility that can seem irrational by European standards. And, just as good-faith gun-rights advocates don’t pretend that every gun owner is a third-generation hunter, free-speech advocates need not pretend that every provocative utterance is a valuable contribution to a robust debate, or that it is impossible to make any distinctions between various kinds of speech. In the case of online harassment, that instinctive preference for “free speech” may already be shaping the kinds of discussions we have, possibly by discouraging the participation of women, racial and sexual minorities, and anyone else likely to be singled out for ad-hominem abuse. Some kinds of free speech really can be harmful, and people who want to defend it anyway should be willing to say so.

And Professor Reynolds has the right prescription for this soft totalitarianism:

"...the lesson from the “gun nuts” is: Don’t compromise, don’t admit that there’s such a thing as a “reasonable restriction,” don’t back down, and keep pointing out that your opponents are liars and hypocrites. And punish the hell out of politicians who vote with the other side."

To which I would add, that conservatives must do as Mark Steyn says: not expect politicians to 'do the right thing', but rather, consistently and relentlessly make it difficult, if not bloody impossible for them to do the wrong thing.

For heaven's sake, make them pay too high a price for doing the wrong thing (see Chuck Schumer for example)!

And some heartache-leftist media sort of notices Obama vilifying an opponent.

Thoughts for the day from John Nolte of Breitbart:

And this:

Listening to consultants has not really paid off for Republicans in America, unless by 'paying off' one means, "keep cushy government job" and not "be in power and lead", but what do I know?!?!

Fitzgerald and the Jews

A cute, short essay from the New Yorker.

An interesting little piece about Fitzgerald's Jewish assistant, a nice Jewish girl from the Bronx, Frances Kroll Ring who died this past June at the age of 99.

"As Kroll tells it, Fitzgerald displayed a great deal of curiosity about Jewishness, pestering her about Jewish characteristics and customs. He was fascinated by “the Passover feast” and the practice of keeping kosher. After learning that Kroll’s father had emigrated from Russia at age sixteen, he impulsively sent him a King James edition of the Old and New Testaments, with a note that read “from a friend and colleague of your daughter.”

"It would be nice to report that Fitzgerald eventually rid himself of anti-Semitic feelings, but it wouldn’t be true. As Kroll noted, nothing was simple with Scott. He was a man of insistent contradictions; and with a few drinks under his belt, his darker and more foolish side took over. When drunk, he could sing out “Lily Shiel” and “She’s a Jew.” Or he might take Kroll aside and confide to her that Graham was “part Jewish,” as though he and Kroll were in cahoots."

"But he wasn’t often drunk, not toward the end, and it’s entirely possible that the company of Jewish women made Fitzgerald feel warmer toward Jews in general."

"And though it was probably nothing more than a tic, he apparently liked going to delicatessens, according to Graham, and ordering knishes because he liked saying “knish.”

"The last word, however, should belong to Kroll, who, I suspect, would not have put up with any anti-Semitic nonsense from him; nor would she have remembered him quite so fondly had he exhibited a virulent bias toward her people:"

My memory harbors a gentle man with a nearly collapsed dream whose prevailing gift gave him the strength to keep doing what he did best—to write.”

Instapundit: Trump Indicts America's Ruling Class

Indeed:

"Trump’s rise is, like that of his Democratic counterpart Bernie Sanders, a sign that a large number of voters don’t feel represented by more mainstream politicians."

"To this ruling class, the rest of the country is sometimes an annoyance or obstacle, sometimes a source of necessary funds or votes, but always the “other” — not our kind, dear. Too ignorant, too unpolished, too unconnected to the right institutions and pieties to really count. With ruling-class Republicans having more in common with ruling-class Democrats than with the people they rule, it’s unsurprising that, as Codevilla predicted in a later essay, millions of voters feel orphaned. Democracy doesn’t do much for technocratically set policy that always seems to reflect ruling-class preferences, and people feel they’ve lost control of their own fates."

So Good! Jim Goad on Donald Trump.

Thanks to Kathy Draidlebaum for posting this.

I laughed out loud. I'm still laughing.

The whole thing is wickedly good, but this part is hysterical:

"On Twitter—where he’s constantly insulting people as if he were a mix of Ronald Reagan and Don Rickles—Trump denied that his “blood” comment had anything to do with Megyn Kelly’s magical mystical sacred vagina and was instead a reference to her nose:
Re Megyn Kelly quote: “you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” (NOSE). Just got on w/thought
Only a deviant would think anything else,” Trump later told a reporter.

"And see, this is why I love Donald Trump. It has nothing to do with his policies, because I don’t know what they are beyond the fact that he hates illegal immigration. And I care not whether he was referring to Kelly’s nose or her vagina, either. What I love is that we’re living in the year 2015 and he uses the word “deviant.” It’s more refreshing than a thousand Altoids to hear a presidential candidate refer to others as deviants. I’d bet the last president to call someone a deviant was Nixon, and I love that guy, too."

"No matter how egregiously someone acts like a dick toward him, Trump’s default response is, “Sorry, but I’m gonna be the bigger dick in this scenario. Bite me!” He’s brought unabashed name-calling back into politics, and for that I thank him."

OH MAH GAWD I LOVE THAT PART.

That's exactly it. I was trying to figure out what I love so much about the Trump candidacy, and boiled it down to two main points. One, that he could not be any worse than Obama, and two, that he has enough money to not give a single sh&t about anything anyone says about him, or how this plays out.

But "sorry, but I'm gonna be the bigger dick in this scenario, bite me" is absolutely what it is all about and I am so mad at myself that I didn't think of that first. ARGH.

 Kudos, Mr. Goad.

Very Disturbing on So Many Levels, From Vanity Fair: Charlie Hedbo's Money and How It's Dividing France

Charlie Hedbo, flushed with cash and no longer publishing Mohammad cartoons.

I wasn't aware of the background of one Hedbo staffer, who is also an emergency doctor:

"Patrick Pelloux has another life outside Charlie. He is an emergency-room doctor, accustomed to traumatic injury, a man schooled to make tough decisions fast. But nothing in his training prepared him for the scene he confronted on January 7—his colleagues at Charlie Hebdo shot at point-blank range with Kalashnikovs. Summoned by a call from a friend, Pelloux was the first to reach the satirical weekly’s small meeting room. Grief and professional instinct vied with each other as the physician-journalist performed rapid triage on his fellows: dead, dead, gravely injured, dead."

"On Pelloux sifted, through almost a dozen corpses. Two of his friends, the cartoonist Jean Cabut (known as “Cabu”) and the economist Bernard Maris, were still seated, slumped against each other at the table. Others had slipped from their chairs to the blood-soaked floor. Pelloux relives the carnage daily, in his dreams, and in the exercise in survival that has become his precarious Parisian existence."

"His hair dyed blond in an attempt at disguise, Pelloux met me upstairs at CafĂ© de Flore, in Saint-Germain. He’s 51 but looks younger, a man with a restless energy in his darting eyes. It was a beautiful spring day in Paris, the kind that can only summon whispered gratitude for the gift of life, preferably on the Left Bank. The doctor is followed these days by a retinue of police, dedicated to protecting him from any follow-up squad of jihadist killers, and several psychologists, who monitor the tribulations of his psyche.

“I am no longer the same—in fact, I no longer know who I am,” Pelloux told me.

The reference points I had disappeared. I saw all my friends with bullets in their heads or thoraxes or abdomens. The killers wanted to assassinate laughter, slaughter the smile. Dictators and torturers never laugh. This was a political act of pure Fascist and Nazi extraction.”

I think that those who have lived through terrorist attacks, or lost family members in terrorist attacks each have their own unique way of "living" after. It's a different kind of living, a different kind of life.

This man is very, very brave. And I think the article really identifies so many of the big issues. It's very well done.

"Pelloux refuses to be intimidated."

“We have to talk of Islamofascism. We have to call it by its name,” he told me.

And this is a chilling, accurate and concise summary of where we are at, and obviously why he can go on, living each day in the wake of such horror.

We cannot go back to the Middle Ages. You don’t kill people because they make cartoons and laugh. It’s crazy. Islamic State wants to destroy everything, lead us to nothingness. If they have their way we’ll have to go into museums—the Met, the MoMA—and destroy the Picassos, repaint every canvas. We are at war. I wake up saying to myself, We are at war—an underhand war."

We certainly are at war.

The infographic at the end of the article is also particularly chilling.

This article simultaneously scares and inspires me.

Chinese Jews!

Amazing story.

Jews don't just go out for Chinese food on Christmas you know.

We have Chinese Jews.

WE ARE EVERYWHERE.

WE SPEAK EVERY LANGUAGE.

JOOOOOOOOZ

ZOG!

FOR REAL!

Ha!

Mark Steyn: Party Pooper

OOOOH this is a good one.

You must watch Steyn on Hannity, having a post-Republican debate little chit chat.

(The dog poop line is a classic and I snorted out loud about 'Hillary's husband-HAR!)

Steyn basically explains what the deal is with Donald Trump:

"Many electors agree with Trump - that America is dying before their eyes. If that's the case, why should fealty to a party that bears a large measure of responsibility for that decay take precedence over love of country?"

So yes, Trump was the winner of that debate, but only because Carly wasn't involved.

I'm finding it puzzling how Donald Trump is causing the vapors among Americans. I mean, for real and not for joking, they are needing super-sized fainting couches and weeping schmattahs about The Donald.

The way I see it is that the current batch of Republican "leaders" are no longer conservative, and have all chosen to live in the gonad-free zone known as Washington, D.C, living the Cartel Highlife (kudos to Ted Cruz for that line, it really is outstanding-and I remain a Cruz Jooooz).

They are all sucky over-conciliatory eunuchs. The only people with stones, as far as I can see are Trump, Cruz and Carly.

Trump has made enough money that he couldn't give a single shit about what anyone says about him. That's America, baby. Cruz is a principled conservative who has the right moral principles and intelligence to lead America out of its current decline, and Carly is a bloody firecracker who also knows about politics, business and she certainly channels Reagan and Thatcher.

Trump could not in any way, shape or form be worse than Obama. But the current Republican leadership in America might as well have Obama kneepads for all the sucking up and sucking off of this administration that they partake in, day in and day out.  You better believe Trump will not be doing any "blowjobby" (thanks, Kathy Draidlebaum for that term) shenanigans.

As for Megyn Kelly and the sexist comments ooooooooh dear so sleeeeeepppy now zzzzzzz......

Here's the bottom line: you cannot sit at the big boys' table and then try to pull The Estrogen Card.

Apparently, statistically (think I saw this on Rush Limbaugh's web site, I have to double check), most of the airtime on the Fox News debate went to....wait for it...the Fox News Hostess With the Mostess Estrogen.

So, if you want that spotlight on your Fox(y) Face, you better be in the make-up room with Teflon being applied shortly after your foundation.

Otherwise, pass the mike to a bro, ya know?

AND, NOTE BENE:

Most importantly, can we please discuss Steyn's sartorial fare on the Hannity interview for a moment? Of course we can  BECAUSE IT'S MY BLOG.

Beige, tan colour scheme: excellent choices-very debonaire. We like!

Ya know, a bunch of cranky people were writing to Steyn saying the equivalent of him having a face for radio-I mean they were like TOTALLY DISSING his TV spots. Of course, I totally disagree, and I think Hannity and Steyn have a very good rapport. He asks very intelligent questions, and gives Steyn the requisite time to actually answer properly.

And, hey, if the punditry business goes down the tubes, Steyn could VERY EASILY have a second career as a Fashion Policeman, as good as the late great Joan Rivers.  A Steynian What Not to Wear would be fab. Love it. Can easily see that happening.

Jezussss Canadians Suck Sometimes

You know, "Roosh" is right.

The truth hurts.

This is ridiculous.

"Valizadeh is touring Europe, the U.S. and Canada, hosting events on “self-improvement for men” as well as “how culture is lifting up women and gay people while pushing (men) and their needs down.”

He is 100% right about Canadians that there is “something in the water in Canada that makes people extra sensitive and prone to censoring speech that they don’t agree with..".

DING DING DING!

Men are bashed here all the time. And there are way too many obese people here, and too many special snowflakes looking for "safe" space. I hate it.

It would be a very good thing for men  in Toronto to hear about upping their game.

"The organizers of the petition say they believe Valizadeh will be violating section 319 of the Canadian Criminal Code, which prohibits gathering and organizing for the purposes of inciting hatred of an identifiable group."

These super sucky precious social justice warriors and their censorship fetish make me vomit.

Random Question: Can Classical Music Be Funny?

I don't know.

But who cares really?

More Carly! Uncensored! I Like Her!

Very nicely done.

Carly-Cruz!

Moving on up!

George Will: The Barbarity of A Nation

Do read the whole thing:

“Having a procedure” — stopping the beating of a human heart — can indeed be a difficult decision for the woman involved. But it never is difficult for Planned Parenthood’s abortionists administering the “procedure.”

The savage butchers of Planned Parenthood stop the beating of a human heart. That is what needs to be said over and over again. The language we use to describe this barbarism must be clear and non-euphemistic if there are ever to be better days ahead.

That phrase will haunt me forever.

My heart is breaking.

The World Wide War on Free Speech

Blasphemy is a capital offense in some places in the world.

Just remember that when lefties ask 'what could possibly go wrong' with enabling sharia courts in Western countries.

Barbarians

Pure evil.

Real War on Women

"A survivor of female genital mutilation (FGM) has revealed her terrifying ordeal after she was forced to undergo the procedure without anesthetic when she was just 11-years-old."

"Damaris Monty, now 14, from Tangulbei, Kenya, and a mother to a two-year-old daughter, had no idea what getting cut meant before it happened to her and four other young girls who were lined up to be mutilated."

The Idea of A Cruz/Carly Ticket Makes Me Very Happy

Carly has the stuff.

Really.

Fantastic, Must Read: Daniel Greenfield Gives A Tour of Our Decadent Civlization

This is sooooooooooooooo good.

I have read it several times already and you should, too.

I wish I could pull excerpts from it, but it appears to be coded to prevent that (which is really annoying, but I guess linking is preferred).

Read the whole thing.

It's definitely one of the best summaries of Western decadence and decline that I have read recently. It's short, sweet and devastatingly accurate.

Well done, Sultan Knish.

The Knish is a very, very, very smart Jew.

Dude! Minnesota Boy Uses Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish to Feed the Hospital Staff That Saved Him

What a beautiful, uplifting story.

(Grab yer Kleenex!)

Thanks to Stan for sending this my way.
