It's "hate" crimes.
There are just crimes.
"Hate" is subjective.
Determining if "hate" plays a role in a crime is not just purely subjective and in the eye of the beholder, but HELLO DUHHHHHH IT'S A CRIME. OF COURSE IT'S HATEFUL YOU IMBECILES.
What I always want to know is, if there are "hate" crimes, then where, oh where are the "love" crimes? Where are all the "indifferent" crimes?
So, I disagree with VDH that "hate" crimes legislation is a good idea gone bad.
Hate crimes, and hate crimes legislation are both bad ideas gone worse, because the only natural progression from the road paved with good intentions is to hell.
