Welcome to Obama's America: Female Genital Mutilation Edition
Yeah, well call me crazy, but I don't remember having to warn the American public about the dangers and/or virtures of Female Genital Mutilation under previous American presidents.
Here's a headline you don't see every day.
Actually, here's a headline that you should never, ever, ever see in an allegedly free Western country because it is a disgrace and it means that we have been betrayed by our leaders, and that barbarism has been invited into our countries.
How about we NOT need to tell primitive, savage barbarians that splicing off the genitals of their children is a bad thing. How about that?
How about we take in people to our countries that we don't have to explain that to? Is that so much to ask? Apparently so.
We should not be in the business of futilely trying to de-program the barbarism out of these primitives. It makes me sick.
"New York Cracks Down on Female Genital Mutilation."
"New York has the second-highest number of women and girls at risk for FGM in the U.S. New legislation hopes to change that.'
'Female genital mutilation is illegal under federal law, but hundreds of thousands of girls in the United States remain at risk. Lawmakers in New York, a hotbed for the practice, hope to change that by raising public awareness of a relatively unknown crisis."
And in typical gutless media style, the word "Islam" is entirely absent from the article.
No Islam to see here, of course.
All they say is "GM is a ritualistic practice primarily performed in Africa and the Middle East in which some or all of the female external genitalia is removed".
Funny, you don't see many Middle Eastern or African Jews or Christians performing this "ritual practice".
Shame on the cowards who refuse to say what this is really about.

Steyn and Cruz: This A Fine Bromance
Nice clip from Mark Steyn's first evening covering for Sean Hannity on FOX.
It's really a pleasure listening to Ted Cruz's unapologetically conservative stance, and to talk about serving his constituents, honouring the individuals who voted for him, and the frustration of "politicians who say one thing and do another".
Cruz, if you notice, also is very comfortable and forthright discussing issues that are really very troubling to average Americans: immigration, the disgraceful (unsigned) Iran deal, the omnibus bill, the Republican mainstream selling out once again, terrorism and the Syrian refugees, etc..
It's clear to me that Ted Cruz wants to win, something that Republican career politicians do not seem to be terribly concerned about.
"Optimistic conservatism"-that's a pretty neat phrase and vision, and I think Cruz can definitely pull it off.

OMG Finally: Israel's Foreign Ministry Goes Viral With Arabic Language Video on Democracy
I am delighted that they are reaching out in Arabic.
They should do this in Farsi as well.
This is really great.

"And New Families Emerged From the Ashes"
Very nice piece from Tablet on a Tel Aviv gathering of Jewish children born in DP camps.
"We were children together. All of us. We shared very special early childhood years. Some of us were born in the same DP camp. My friend Aviva Tal’s parents and mine were friends in Bergen-Belsen when the two of us were born there, and the two of us actually did play together as children. But it does not matter if we were born in Belsen, or in Landsberg, or Feldafing, or Foehrenwald, or Eschwege, or Zeilsheim, or Bindermichl, or in one of the many other DP camps across Germany, Austria, and Italy. We were all born in a particular time and place, the transition between hell and normalcy, a surreal twilight that enabled our parents to catch their breath and rediscover their bearings. And these places of our birth have to a greater or lesser extent shaped our identity."
“The hand of Adonai came upon me,” declared the prophet Ezekiel."

Another Reason to Love Donald Trump
#schlonged
Although no further comment is *really* necessary, I will only add that a billionaire, gentile politician who can pull of using a Yiddish term for screwing and insult Hillary Clinton at the same time deserves some kind of a freaking medal.
A medal I tell you!
I swear to G-d, I would give a kidney to accompany Donald Trump on his trip to Israel. He's got such sass.
(NOTE: If Trump's people see this still need a highly affable, Zionist, politically conservative, history geek, fluent-in-Hebrew translator and all-round-one-woman fixer for trip, have your people call my people...)
Trump is well-deserving of the inaugural Laura Rosen Cohen Long Schlong award for political in-correctness.
I wonder if evil, seeeeekrit Joooooo Kathy Draidlebaum would help me organize an award ceremony.
As I've always promised her, she can be the person who introduces the person who introduces the person who gives the award.
Donald Trump also corners the the Best Gentile Use of a Jewish Vulgarity Award for 2015. I have watched this video about eight times already.
To be fair, Mark Steyn this year will be receiving a runner-up award for his use of 'schmuck'.
It is so very endearing to us right-wing Jew folk to have Yiddish peppered through the everyday conversations and essays of such an erudite, gentile literary luminary such as Mark Steyn, and I think we all know by now that his philosemitism goes well beyond this literary device.
I especially love that in other interviews, he went Full Donald on Hillary's bathroom trip during the debate. ("I don't wanna know about this BUTIKNOWABOUT IT AND FRANKLY ITSDISGUSTING, TRUTHFULLY...")
I love this. I can't stop watching it.

Douglas Murray: The Elites Are In Denial, Again
My only quibble with this incredible essay is the word 'again'.
I would say that they are 'still' in denial.
Read the whole thing.
It's a haunting and frightening picture of where we are at, as a society, in terms of recognizing and understanding the threats that are right in front of our very eyes.
I must say, Murray's essay is particularly poignant and painful to read now, given his recent admission that for security reasons, he can no longer give advance notice of his public appearances, for "security reasons" (i.e threats from jihadists).
Douglas Murray: The Establishment Is In Denial, Again
THIS IS A MUST READ:
"Almost a decade ago Martin Amis asked the then Prime Minister, Tony Blair, whether he and other European leaders ever discussed the issue of growing Muslim demographics in Europe."'
"The point is that all these things are varieties of self-distraction. They are things we have set up to stop us coming to the conclusions based on the evidence before us."
So who do you believe? The silver lining hashtag fantasists, or your own lying eyes?
Will you take the side of "shut up", "for security reasons", slide willingly into the new Western world, replete with its significant ramifications or will you fight?
I would say that they are 'still' in denial.

Douglas Murray: The Establishment Is In Denial, Again
"Almost a decade ago Martin Amis asked the then Prime Minister, Tony Blair, whether he and other European leaders ever discussed the issue of growing Muslim demographics in Europe."'
“It’s a subterranean conversation,” was Blair’s response.
"But even subterranean conversations have a habit of occasionally breaking above the surface."
"Two years ago, in the pages of the Guardian, some of those fears made a rare such break. The private views of a number of senior figures at the Ministry of Defence were leaked to the left-wing paper. These expressed serious concern that “in an increasingly multicultural Britain” and “an increasingly diverse nation” there was a growing “resistance” to seeing British troops deployed, particularly in countries “from which UK citizens, or their families, once came”. British involvement in the Middle East and elsewhere was, in other words, becoming impossible because of what was happening demographically at home in the UK."
"Whenever that key issue of Muslim demographics does bubble up in our country it is always shut down with the same fervour and pique. Whenever it is reported that Mohammed was the most popular name for new-born British boys each year the story is dismissed on some technicality. Too many variants of the name were included or not enough variants was usually the mask for the real response which was, “Shut up.”
(It's so often about the "shut up". It's still "shut up" even if it's said with a nice, proper, British accent.)

"When, in 2015, Mohammed became unarguably the most popular boy’s name in Britain the only acceptable response suddenly turned into: “So what. That’s cool.” But underneath this the public, like the present generation of politicians, knows that it is not entirely cool. Or at least not something without significant ramifications."
The ramifications are micro and macro.
Douglas Murray is not a free man in Britain any more.
His crime, punishable by death, under sharia, is being a free man, and thinking that he has the right to speak freely about anything, including Islam, without fear of being harmed. Not having that freedom, as of this year, is a rather "significant ramification" of his life, to say the least.

In answer to new readers, I'm afraid for security reasons I can no longer give advance notice of speaking engagements. Hope this changes.
— Douglas Murray (@DouglasKMurray) December 6, 2015
Voluntary, supine reductions in one's personal liberty are just the start.
When individuals give up their "small" freedoms without a fight, to be nice, to get along, to accommodate, societies quickly and seamlessly head toward being sharia-compliant lands of "significant ramifications", all for your own good of course-for "security reasons", don't you know?
But can't we talk about it? No, we can't.

But can't we talk about it? No, we can't.
The introduction of voluntary sharia-compliance combined with large-scale Muslim immigration to the West (hijrah) is actually a nuclear-scale ramification to Western societies.
It's demographic suicide, actually.
It's demographic suicide, actually.
More from Murray, and I think here he hits on one of the main points and of course it is the junction where fear meets cowardice and denial:
"Far more energy is expended refuting the story than in addressing a legitimate problem."
"Because, although one in five British Muslims don’t sympathise with IS, quite a number clearly do. But this is a pattern. After last January’s terror attacks the attention of European publics and governments turned for a week by a claim about “no-go zones” made by a Fox News guest expert. So much time was spent ridiculing Fox News that nobody had much time to consider whether Europe did have no-go zones. We learned again in November that it did — in France, Belgium, Sweden and elsewhere across Europe. But these are not the stories we want to hear. And so we find new ones."
Murray observes a particular, obscene trend that I have pointed out here many times as well.
Before the corpses of the victims of Muslim terror are even cold, and before the victims are even buried, we dhimmis must focus our attention on the real victims-the Muslims.
We are conditioned to reflexively seek out and find the "silver lining" and universally hashtag our momentous stupidity, vanity and wishful thinking. And if there is no "silver lining" then truth be dammed, we will just make stuff up.
I hate to break it to you all: some things have no "silver lining". Not ever. Some things are so bad, that there is just nothing good about them. Understanding that truth is what separates the mice from the men, and the political left from reality.

Thus:
"So after every terrorist attack now we learn of a “good news” story. After the attack on a café in Sydney a year ago the hashtag #illridewithyou became the good news story — the result of a story of a Muslim Australian woman on public transport allegedly removing her headscarf in fear after the attack. Australians tweeted “I’ll ride with you” to show that they would protect all of Australia’s Muslims from the other Australians who would otherwise brutalise them. The story of the woman taking off her headscarf turned out to be made up. Nevertheless, thousands of Australians tweeted “I’ll ride with you” and so the murder of, among others, café owner Tori Johnson (made to kneel on the floor and then shot in the back of the head) had a happy ending."
Please also note that disgracefully, on the one-year anniversary of the attack, Sydney's mayor is saying NO TERRORISM OR ISLAM TO SEE HERE.
Shame on her.
Murray:
"Worst was in the wake of November’s atrocity in Paris when the story went around from the Wall Street Journal to the Huffington Post and the Daily Mail that one of the suicide bombers at the Stade de France football stadium had been stopped and turned away by a Muslim security guard called Zouheir."
"Except that it turned out — as the BBC was unusual in being good enough to concede — that the tale was fabricated. There was a guard in the stadium of unknown religion called Zouheir but he had been elsewhere on the night and had not seen any bombers. He had relayed part of a colleague’s story to a reporter."

Justice is Served
"I knew he wouldn't die of old age. I knew that his days on this earth were numbered."
This was, in the words of Smadar Haran, "historic justice". His death, via the IDF, and the death of any such a barbarian is a good thing, a just action.
Every terrorist attack is savage. But just try to imagine living your life, having the strength to live after what happened to the Haran family. Imagine trying to get up in the morning every day after living through this:
"Danny Haran, 31, and 4-year-old Einat were murdered by Kuntar himself: He shot Danny and then bashed Einat's head with the butt of his rifle. Two-year-old Yael was accidentally smothered to death by her mother as they hid from the murderers in their home."

The savage barbarian said it was nothing personal.
"I am the only branch left of the family that he murdered, and that branch has continued to flower, as has the city of Nahariya, which is flourishing and thriving. That is the essence of Zionism, in my view."
"Ronny Keren, Danny Haran's brother, told Israel Hayom on Sunday that "Kuntar's assassination does not take the pain away, but there is certainly a sense of satisfaction. Anyone who murders Jews must know that he will end up just like Samir Kuntar. What goes around comes around."
"We have waited for this day for many years, and now there is a sense of closure. In the Middle East, the only language that people understand is the language of violence, apparently."
Back to the survivors, back to Smadar Haran:

The World According to Me, Monday Edition
Rather busy lately making holiday plans.
My plan is always modest: stay sane, have a bit of fun and try to ring in the New Year with as many brain cells as I had the previous year.
Anyway, here's a link dump of stuff that has caught my eye, for your reading pleasure/horror.
North America:
John Moskovitch: "One rabbi's story of change". This is a very interesting essay on his move from the left to the right. I thought it was particularly interesting how the liberal, reform Jewish community tried to silence him throughout his intellectual journey.
Ezra Levant: Trudeau is a "buffoon" and the stupidest leader in the world". True.
Sultan Knish: "Muslims don't like Muslims and really don't like Jews."
More Knish: "Being thankful for the Left" (really good).
Bret Stephens: "Fighting terror by self-reproach", in which Stephens coins the magnificent phrase "Obama's scolding homily" for the American people. That's just brilliant. Wish I had thought of that.
Germany:
Demand for weapons skyrocketing. Gee, I wonder why?
England:
Culture of Death, man with Down Syndrome given death sentence at public, NHS hospital.
Israel:
16 Israeli startups that are ready for take-off.

"Tina Fey Is 'Opting Out' of Apologizing to the Internet"
So, she sounds pretty butch here, but I wonder how long it will actually take, on planet reality, for her to cave.
A few hours?
Before Christmas?
I would take her more seriously if she simultaneously made a joke about Mohammad, or Islam, and then said "hey, you want an apology-well bite me".
It's not exactly brave to refuse to apologize to no-name losers on the internet and ditto for offending the precious and exquisite feelings of people who are offended on behalf of special interest groups such as Native Americans.
That's a pretty soft target for comedy. It's not "brave", it's very cautious and tepid stuff.
Anyway, this is sort of like deja vu all over again, as I was pretty impressed by Amy Schumer for a few hours, as well until she caved.

Jeb Bush: Live Shrivelled and Die
This is Jeb Bush's absolute and total EBMF (Kathy Shaide's description of the 'epic beta male faggot') campaign moment.
And as for giving himself therapy, not only should potential Commanders-In-Chief not be talking or joking about psychobabble, that is really so, so, so, gay, but you can also go blind from self-therapy.
He should just quit now while he has any semblance of self-pride self. It's pitiful already.

Great News: Norway Teaching Muslim Immigrants Not to Rape
The New York Times puts it a little differently, so as not to offend anyone. Might sound too rapey, you know.
"Norway offers migrants a lesson in how not to treat women."
"Fearful of stigmatizing migrants as potential rapists and playing into the hands of anti-immigrant politicians, most European countries have avoided addressing the question of whether men arriving from more conservative societies might get the wrong idea once they move to places where it can seem as if anything goes."

"Fearful of stigmatizing migrants as potential rapists and playing into the hands of anti-immigrant politicians, most European countries have avoided addressing the question of whether men arriving from more conservative societies might get the wrong idea once they move to places where it can seem as if anything goes."
(Not "Muslim" societies, just "conservative". By the way, just to translate from Mealy Mouthed Media Language to English: Only Muslim countries and sharia-based societies are described as "conservative". Actual conservatives in the West are described as 'extreme right wing' or worse. You're welcome.)
"Many refugees "come from cultures that are not gender equal and where women are the property of men," Mr. Isdal said."
Here's the kicker:
(Whatever would cause that? I think they spelled S-H-A-R-I-A wrong.)
"The first such program to teach immigrants about local norms and how to avoid misreading social signals was initiated in Stavanger, the center of Norway's oil industry and a magnet for migrants, after a series of rapes from 2009 to 2011."
"... "there was a link but not a very clear link" between the rape cases and the city's immigrant community. According to the state broadcaster, NRK, which reviewed court documents, only three of 20 men found guilty in those cases were native Norwegians, the rest immigrants. A 2011 report by Norway's state statistical bureau noted that "immigrants are overrepresented in the crime statistics" but suggested that this was not due to cultural differences but because many of the immigrants were young men."

So, can someone please remind me why it is a good idea for a Western country to take in masses of Muslim men who need to be taught that raping women is not part of our cultural legacy and heritage?
Wouldn't it be better to have immigrants who actually already understand that concept? That's a legitimate question. Not an "Islamophobic" one, just a non-rapey one.
How many "migrants" should need the anti-rape course, like what percentage of likely rapists should a country take in? I'd be inclined to say "zero".
And how to you measure success of your course? Seriously, what are the metrics? If you take the course and then rape someone, does that count as a success or failure? The bureaucrats get to keep their jobs, the elites stay in power. A few women and girls get raped, what's the big deal, right?
("We did the very best we could. Mistakes were made...")
So, why take in people who think that female genital mutilation is a good idea? Or those that feel that homosexuals should be stoned, rape victims murdered and apostates executed?
Successful countries and societies do not produce masses of migrants at all.
The very idea that "migrants" with a penchant for rape are being let into a country willingly and that the elites think that they just need a few lessons in not raping women is absolutely insane.
How many Western women and girls will need to be raped and sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism before this stops?
Good One: Inside Obama's Secret Pity Party
This is well done.
"Poor Barack Obama. Americans don’t appreciate his wisdom, and those nasty Republicans are picking on him again. Woe is the leader of the free world."
"Despite Obama’s efforts to reassure the country that he is serious about fighting the bloodthirsty jihadists, in truth he is not. He is merely committed to maintaining the status quo."

Hollywood Reporter: Tel Aviv is the New (Way Better, OMG No Comparison) "Sin City"
First of all, Las Vegas is revolting. I absolutely hated it for many reasons. It's probably one of the most depressing and disgusting places I have ever been.
I hated the faux glamour of the hotels, I found it profoundly depressing to see the masses of white whales either zombified at slot machines by 7:00 a.m and/or drinking hard alcohol in the swimming pools by 9:00 a.m. There was WAY too much flesh and there were way too many tattoos on way too much flesh. The boobs were fake, and the proliferation of gastric band surgery billboards on the highways were just horrifying.
The Mexicans handing out porn literature/ads on the streets also made me cringe. I finally started just looking at them with a look that said "REALLY?!??!?! REALLY?!?!?!" and they looked embarrassed and kept their flyers.
Tel Aviv, on the other hand is awesome. Great people, amazing food, beaches, restaurants, cafes, and full of interesting JOOOOOOZ.
The two main problems with Tel Aviv are the humidity (like seriously UGH) and the proportion of Jewish leftists.
Other than that-fabulous.

Kurt Russell: Founding Fathers Had Very Strong Reasons for Second Amendment
This is a really neat clip. I like the way he gets the vapid shrews of The View to pretty much shut up, agree that he has a point AND confess their love for him by the end of the segment.
Very alpha.
It's VERY impressive that he was able to make the point that he was ambushed, that he is primarily an entertainer and not a policy maker and that the discussion (in an ideal world) should always be civil. The only problem is that lefties are not really capable of civil discussion with people who they disagree with, but whatevs!
Smooth moves!

Steyn: This Is Islam, Drenched In Blood, Day In, Day Out.
Mark Steyn is never one to mince words.
I hope Professor Chambers enjoyed getting bitch-slapped by Mark Steyn.
This is probably the most media attention that he is going to get, ever. For that reason, I was reluctant to click, so as not to add to the esteemed professor's click count, but it was like a train wreck-I just couldn't resist it. There was a lot of DUMB in that article, boy oh boy.
Anyway, do read "The Fabric's Fading Dye".
This part of the Jonas translation of the Faludy poem jumped out at me:
he did not taste the filth inside his bread
or see the boys who knew his poems die
or view the burning library with dread
Who among us is actually tasting the filth in our bread, and seeing the libraries burning?

There are some individuals, but they are being told not to taste it, not to feel the heat of the fire, and not to believe their own lying eyes.
As Jonas well knows, any society that burns books burns people.
The Muslims are not the "new" Jews.
The fact that so few people make the proper, accurate and truthful comparison is very troubling indeed.
Steyn mentioned but a few of the Jewish and Muslim victims of Muslim terrorism. In that list would be Esther and Syke Paltzur, friends of my parents who were murdered by Palestinians on a boat in Cyprus, leaving 4 orphans, and my own brother in law, David Cohen who left 2 children and a widow.
This week, I met a Chilean Jewish woman who just immigrated to Canada. Her husband is physician. There is no Jewish future in South America. Her ancestry is Russian Jewish. Do you see what I'm getting at? I'm tired of Jews being hunted and pursued wherever they are and wherever they are from. I'm tired of Jews having to leave their homes and their lives, pack up and start over again. That woman's family fled Russia to South America, and now is fleeing South America to North America. My in laws were forced to leave Iran. My grandparents made it out of Poland, but their families didn't.
I am tired of Jews being hunted.
But what distinguishes me from the masses of idiot left-wing Jews is that I see Israel and the IDF as the answer, and not the problem. Assimilation is not the answer, and making kissy faces with the people who want to kill you is not the answer either.
The answer to Jews being hunted is a strong Jewish state-stronger than any of its neighbours, very strong and proud Jewish living and very heavily armed Jews.
NOTE:
Steyn will be guest-hosting Hannity's show next week on FOX, so do check it out if you a) watch TV b) have FOX and c) can stay up past 10:00 p.m EST (7:00 p.m Pacific).
I will post clips as they become available.
