Theoretically, how many other ways could $16 billion of hard earned Western tax dollars be used?
Couldn't an entirely new country be created with that kind of money?
What is the point of sending endless mounds of cash to this corrupt regime? Will it ever stop?
What good has come of it? I can't think of a single thing.
It is still festering tribal crap-hole, where barbaric misogyny reigns and the "blue on green" murder of Western troops by Afghanis continues as thought it's a completely unremarkable phenomenon.
We need to exit.
There will be no flourish of "democracy" in that land, no sudden burst of liberal democratic values or equal rights for the pathetic masses of individuals who happened to have been born female. It's a mess, a land undeserving of our money, the lives of our soldiers and completely unable to aspire to, or meet our democratic ambitions.
