WSJ: The Race to Preserve the Voices of the Holocaust

It is understandable to have a sincere concern about preserving the voices and the stories of the Holocaust.

I think we have to remember though, that people who wish to remember, will.

There is a lot of documentation, there are photos and videos, and much of it has been digitized. People who choose to ignore or forget history will do so despite our best efforts to educate them and elucidate the issues.

There are countless stories in our human history that we remember to this day, the figures and events live in our hearts and minds if we want them there.

Long after individual people are gone, their stories and words and spirits live on.

Those who wish to remember always will.
