The Circle of Life

Today was a long day.

My aunt, my father's big sister, passed away yesterday after several years of ill health, and real fragility toward the end.

She was a real Eshet Chayil, a woman of valour. She was cut of the same generous, intelligent and loving cloth as my late grandmother. She loved her family. She loved me very much and this deep love was expressed to me in too many ways to enumerate, and too personal for this forum.

She gave great advice, sage advice, and I never heard her say a mean thing about anyone. I'm really quite broken up that she's gone, but she had a really wonderful, full life. She had a marriage of over sixty years, three children and five grandchildren. She was agile and active until toward the very end of her life, and she died at home surrounded by her children.

There was a lot of love at the service. Words really do matter. Choice words, written and spoken from the heart are certainly the window into the soul.

I'm extremely sad today, but as I say, she had a really good and full life and she was a very positive influence on me and many others. I'll miss her terribly.
