News About Jews You Can Use

"Turning the other cheek" is not a Jewish value in the way that you might think. 

This is a great explanation of what it actually means. It does NOT mean just forget about what your enemies did to you.

Here's what it is all about. It is not meant to absolve the wrong-doer. Not at all.

This reminds me of the mistranslation of the commandment "thou shalt not MURDER".

Because that is what it is-do not "murder". It is not "thou shalt not KILL".

Big difference.
