Math is Hard

But apparently, teaching children how to read in Detroit is even harder.

Only 7% of Detroit public school 8th grade students are grade-level proficient in reading. 

Yet, there remain no consequences for such abominable statistics.

There is no punishment for the teachers' role in raising a generation of illiterates in one of the most dysfunctional, broke cities in America.

Welcome to the vice-grip of unions, to the soul-crushing reality of Democratic run municipalities.

A disgrace.
