The Family Dinner

Just spotted this at Instapundit.

The family dinner is an important thing, not just for nutrition but also just to hear what people have been up to. I think it keeps families together-even if people are somewhat at each other's throats during said family meal.

I hear from my oldest that she is one of the only people she knows, in her circle of friends, that has dinner with the whole family every night. Other kids either eat in their rooms, watching TV, or only a few people eat at a time, or there are restaurants and take-out with incredible frequency.

A real pity.
