I read Diana West's Death of the Grown Up a few months ago, and it was mesmerizing.
She really did put into words, and into a full-length book, the degree to which Western civilization has infantilized itself.
I highly recommend it.
I've just started American Betrayal: The Secret Assault on Our Nation's Character and it it also outstanding. It is well-researched, and West is an intelligent, insightful and brave writer. She is also excellent on radio and she is certainly a truth-teller.
I really admire her, and I'd urge you to check out her books, and also to follow her on Twitter.

You know why the left thrives? Because they have no moral bottom. But we don't even need the left to destroy us when we eat our own.

She is an important intellectual and cultural warrior and I hope she never backs down.
