The White House in all its juvenile splendour was using emojis in its official social media output.
For those of you behind the social media curve, "emojis" are those funny, cartoonish faces and images that you see inserted into Facebook posts and Tweets.
In other words, the White House dumbed down its official correspondence from "moronic" to "totally idiotic and five-year-old level".
Alas, emojis were too stupid even for the stupid.
Perhaps there is one, single, lone grown up in the White House with moderately non-stupid judgement?
(And I clearly don't mean Obama, it's probably just some anonymous shlub bean counter).
