"The West's Fight Against Terrorism is Anemic"

Via the great, brave Richard Kemp (if you don't follow him on Twitter, you should), and co-author David Deptula:

Personally, I think that Western armies have been castrated by the political left, particularly in Israel, rather than having been made anemic, but the bloodlessness is a good metaphor nonetheless. President Obama is the classic example of the bloodless, holier-than-though political leftist, of course.

Thus, Deptula and Kemp:

"Rooted in democracies that promote the rule of law, our own militaries will never abandon the values that define us. However, the current coalition rules of engagement well exceed the standards of law for the conduct of war, resulting in playing into the hands of Islamic State by providing it time and freedom of action to continue its atrocities."

"These self-imposed restrictions are a conscious political choice and not a legal obligation. They are the result of twisted narratives propagated by our enemies and reflected and amplified to a disturbing extent by international organizations and NGOs."

They are, in fact, a recipe for defeat-exactly what the political left wants of the left: surrender, defeat and the total annihilation of Judeo-Christian civilization.
