Except that I was the affirmative action poster child, and had a white Mom. Except that I got all kinds of groovy funding for my Ivy League education, and everyone kept pushing and wafting me upwards to my highest level of incompetence.
He totally could have been me except that I have never, ever lived in Florida and even though I smoked drugs, I was in the Choom Gang, we luckily didn't have social media then. He totally could have been me except that I grew up in Hawaii and my white grandparents totally took care of me because my Dad took off and my Mom was so flaky.
