Thanks to "G" for letting me know about it.
"Timidity explains much of the Europeans’ easy damnation of Israel. Putin escapes the disdain accorded to Netanyahu, because Netanyahu governs a small nation and is predictably reasonable; Putin governs a large one and is predictably unreasonable. Trashing Putin might involve some risk; trashing Netanyahu brings psychological relief. If Israel were large and Netanyahu demonic, and if Russia were small and Putin Westernized and reasonable, then our cheap scorn would be leveled at Russia and not Israel."
"There is no cultural downside in championing Hamas. The multicultural romance of the Other trumps even the endemic misogyny, homophobia, and religious bigotry of this particular Other. Seeing ourselves in Israel and not liking what we see outweighs the fact that Israel is tolerant, transparent, and free."
"Anti-Semitism still matters. The growing crowds of Middle Easterners in Europe are now channeling the Nazis of the 1930s; they chant slogans not heard since the Third Reich. Europe, where the Holocaust gestated, is not outraged; apparently, in some sick way, Europeans are aware that Arabs are saying things in their streets that they cannot say but may increasingly wish to."
Apparently, that is too narrow a view (HAHAHAHA) for some.
"The Jews mean to live, Hamas means to exterminate them, and there will be war until Hamas and its allies either weary of it or win it and the last Israeli Jew is dead or exiled."
"It is Hamas, not the Israelis, that stashes rockets and soldiers in schools and hospitals, but it is the Israelis the world expects to take account of that situation. Every creature on this Earth, from ant to gazelle, is entitled to — expected to — defend its life to the last: The Israeli Jews, practically alone among the world’s living things, are expected to make allowances for the well-being of those who are trying to exterminate them. No one lectures the antelope on restraint when the jackals come, but the Jews in the Jewish state are in the world’s judgment not entitled to what is granted every fish and insect as a matter of course."

Joan is so funny!
I love that NOTHING is sacred to her.
Nothing. Everything can be mocked. She is inspiring. Love that lady.
Also, loved hearing about her process. How she works and re-works the jokes. It's amazing.
LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING.
In Gloomy Times, Celebrate the Small Things: Boy Hears Music For the First Time In His Life and Dances
There is something that nobody is talking about so I'm just warning you all that these painful topics are haunting me and they are not going to go away and I'm not going to brush them under the rug.
First-the fact that the tunnels exist is a failure either of Israeli leadership or intelligence or both. Nobody wants to discuss this, but it is going to come up.
Second-showing mercy to the people of Gaza is suicidal. Israel should not be providing electricity, food, "humanitarian" aid of any sort to the barbarians who happily elected Hamas. Why fund and arm your enemies? Why drop leaflets and send text messages? Nobody cares about this "proof" of humanity. It is this exact "proof" of our humanity that is getting our children killed.
They want to kill us all. They used Israeli cement to build the tunnels. Has the suicidal Israeli left infiltrated the political and military establishment to such a degree that they cannot or will not see that their actions are suicidal and that the consequence of their "humanitarian", feel programs toward barbarian jihadist savages result in the deaths of our children?
Third-The Jews that voted for Obama voted for Hamas and for Israel's destruction.
There, I said it and I'll say it again on many future occasions. The Jews that voted for Obama are complicit in the terror war against Israel and chose their liberal sensibilities against their Jewish identity (whatever remains of it) and the Jewish state. They are Jew-hating Jews.
Whether or not the transcript of the Obama-Bibi telephone conversation is accurate or not (I believe it is), what is completely certain is that President Obama is a Jew-hating, Hamas enabler and that this is the most antisemitic administration in American history.
And, as always-this is not just about the Jews.
America, under Obama is traveling on the well-tested road to civilizational destruction.
Societies that treat the Jews (and "their) Jews well flourish and prosper.
Those that don't, fail and disappear into the dustbin of history.
America is at a crossroads of sorts right now.
The treatment of the Jewish state is a litmus test for civilization moral fortitude, future prosperity and yes, the survival of a given civilization.
America and Israel-both young and fragile democracies have much to fear and much to fight for.
This is an existential test.
If you ever are interested in supporting Israel by doing something financial, I highly recommend making a donation to ALEH, Shalva or Keren Malki. These are outstanding Israeli organizations for special needs kids and adults and they serve everyone regardless of religion.
I have personal experience with ALEH so I can vouch for the truly righteous work that they do, having seen it with my own eyes.
Otherwise, Beit Halochem does great things as well for injured soldiers.
The best thing, of course, is to go to Israel and put money directly into the Israeli economy but I know that is a big investment and not everyone can do so.
Another thing you can do to support Israel is buying Israeli products.
There are lots of on-line stores that ship amazing Israeli products right to your door if you are in America.
Israeli wines are really excellent as well.
"...our soldiers yearn for death the way the Zionist soldiers yearn for life."
I say, give them exactly what they want.
(Of course, they don't mean themselves, nah not the hot shot jihadi leaders, they need to live it up at Qatari hotels-they just meant their foot soldiers...)

That's mostly because it's not the "Israeli-Palestinian" conflict. It's a religious conflict between Islam and Judaism (in particular) and the non-Islamic world (in general). There is no diplomatic solution. Some problems have no solution. This is a war. A real war and there can only be one winner if Israel is to survive.
There can be victory or defeat, or ongoing containment with a very heavy price.
Rush puts it thus:
"When one of the combatants has in, essentially, their constitution -- they call it a charter, but their constitution -- the elimination, eradication, the demolishing, the abolishment of the Jewish state, there is no diplomatic solution to that. And yet every day we get breathless reporters working and reporting on the next proposal as though this might be the magic moment."
"And there isn't a magic moment, because there is not a diplomatic solution. It's not possible. And especially if you send somebody over there like Kerry, who's got his own agenda for his own legacy and his own bio and what have you. Ditto Obama. So Kerry wants a ceasefire. What happens in ceasefires is that the bad guys take advantage of the time-out to retool, to regroup, and rearm."
"It is a fact that the two parties involved here have a different definition of peace. To Hamas and the Palestinians, peace is a momentary lull in the normal state of affairs, which is war. That is normalcy for them. They raise their children on it. They strap bombs on their children to go blow themselves up in Israel and bus depots and on buses and in schools. War is their way of life."
"I think they push for a ceasefire because they all want to be seen as brokers of peace."
(I actually think it's much worse, they identify with Hamas, and not with Israel.)
"Somebody... They all got this dream of being the guy who finally brought peace to the Middle East. They all have that much hubris, they all have that kind of ego to think they -- with the power of their personality and their ideas (and the fact that they served in Vietnam) -- can bring to these negotiations elements that others have never had. Every one of these guys thinks they have the magic bullet, and there isn't one, if it is involved in diplomacy."
"Obama Was Rude and Hostile Talking to Bibi Netanyahu"
No such hostility or rudeness to the jihadist butchers of Hamas.
I would love to see the transcript. Israel's Channel One apparently has it. The three photos are screenshots of the Hebrew transcription. If anyone sees a link with the actual transcript, please send it to me.
Alas, I am finding it hard to pick my favourite bit, so you have to read the whole thing.
However, there ought to be some kind of a prize for these:
"Ever since the weekend, I've been looking at the photo on the right. It's a close-up of a picture that forms part of Richard K's photographic scrapbook of the annual "al-Quds Day" rally in my home town of Toronto. "Al-Quds" is the Arab name for Jerusalem, and this event, if not quite as big as the LGBTQWERTY parade, enjoys a similar official imprimatur: the Government of Ontario gives permission for it to be held at Queen's Park, home of the provincial parliament."
(OH MAH GAWD THAT IS FUNNY STUFF...LGBTQUERTY?!?!?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)
"I wonder if any of the non-Muslim Jew-haters out and about on Saturday looked at that Khomeini portrait and felt a little queasy. You sign on for a little light anti-Semitism - getting your pension fund to divest from Israel, which is the 21st century equivalent of getting your country club to nix the Jews - and next thing you know you're standing next to a fellow who's hot for the Ayatollah. And at that point, if you've got any sense of self-preservation, you'll realize it's not really about the Jews anymore, it's about you."
(That's another funny bit, immediately followed by sad/terrible part. It's never "just" about the Jews.)
"South of the border, at The Minneapolis Star-Tribune, they're already assimilating with the incomers, with one of those everything-in-the-west-comes-from-Islam pieces that really ought to have their own category in the Pulitzers by now:"
"I knew most western literature was Muslim - from Sheikh Speare to Louisa May al-Cott - but the jazz and blues thing was new to me. Must remember to check out some of those great little jazz joints in Riyadh next time I'm there. Incidentally, if you woke up this morning and your sheep done left you, the Ayatollah Khomeini recommends you sing a 12-baa blues."
Thanks to "G" for sending it my way.
“Cease-fire” and “negotiations” are magic words to “the international community.” But just what do cease-fires actually accomplish? In the short run, they save some lives. But in the long run they cost far more lives, by lowering the cost of aggression."
"At one time, launching a military attack on another nation risked not only retaliation but annihilation. When Carthage attacked Rome, that was the end of Carthage. But when Hamas or some other terrorist group launches an attack on Israel, they know in advance that whatever Israel does in response will be limited by calls for a cease-fire, backed by political and economic pressures from the United States."
"As for the ever-elusive “solution” to the Arab-Israeli conflicts in the Middle East, there is nothing faintly resembling a solution anywhere on the horizon. Nor is it hard to see why."
"Even if the Israelis were all saints — and sainthood is not common in any branch of the human race — the cold fact is that they are far more advanced than their neighbors, and groups that cannot tolerate even subordinate Christian minorities can hardly be expected to tolerate an independent, and more advanced, Jewish state that is a daily rebuke to their egos."

NY Boy Has Bar Mitzvah in Polish Town His Grandfather Fled and the Story of Balam (Hebrew-"No Land", Bli Am)
While I salute the idea of reasserting a Jewish presence, and reaffirming the fact that Jews remain though our enemies try time and time again to destroy us, I don't feel that 'outreach' to graveyard communities is worthwhile.
What is very pertinent, hauntingly so, is that the parsha (Torah portion) was Bal'am.
"Torah chanting had not echoed from the synagogue's walls 75 years until Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah, which opened with the singing of Ma Tovu. Rabbi David Holz, the Wisnik family’s rabbi from Westchester County, led the service, accompanying the songs with a guitar."
(Whatever, I have no time for hippie Rabbis...)\
"The words of Ma Tovu are from the Book of Numbers. The prophet Balaam, instead of cursing the Israelites as the Moabite king, Balak, commissioned him to do, brings forth God’s blessing for Israel: How lovely are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel."
"These words, turning an intended curse into a blessing, were at the core of Jacob’s Torah reading. Using a silver pointer to read in Hebrew from the scroll, Jacob chanted: Ma tovu ohleh-cha, Yaacov, mishk’notecha Yisrael!"
Thoughts on Bal'am:
"Balaam, on the other hand, is a sadistic misanthrope. He advocates the destruction of an entire people. Perhaps this position is intimated by his name Balaam - Bli Am, "without a people." He is an individual, a hired gun, or mouth, as the case may be, who is willing to advise and help implement a genocide if the price is right. Morality is of no concern. He is the ultimate individual. "Evil eye, arrogant spirit, and greedy soul" (Avot 5:19) are his lot. There is no room in his world view for others."
"The sad part of the story is that there were people - in the thousands - who were indeed enticed, and fell into the trap of Balaam and his henchmen."
"The message of this Torah portion is the reminder that no matter how many times in history people plotted the destruction of the Jewish people, God stood by our sides, and frustrated their plans. When we remain a unified nation, all working toward a common goal, but retaining individuality, and holiness, we know that no nation, no magic, no curses can harm us."
"How good are your tents oh Jacob, and your sanctuaries oh Israel."

I urge you to read the whole thing.
I was so moved by the e-mail that I asked for permission to share parts of it here on my blog. I was impressed by the moral courage expressed, and simply by the fact that an individual wanted to do something about the antisemitism in Calgary. I urged this citizen not to act alone as we have seen that the pro-Hamas hot heads have no compunction whatsoever about beating up women and older people.
It is also important to connect good people so that together, they can make things happen. That means making public officials accountable, making police do their jobs as well.
Here is some of what was sent to me. Remember, I do not know this individual personally. We have never met, yet we are united by so many moral concepts. I feel very privileged that this person decided to reach out to me, and even more grateful that I could make a connection for this person to other like-minded Calgarians.
I have permission to share excerpts from our correspondence and have removed the identifying details:
"Dear Laura, today I am writing you to ask for your opinion. [I refer to] Sara Bernamoff, a beautiful young Jewish girl, who was hit in the head and face and kicked when she was on the ground. This happened in Calgary at a Pro Palestine rally. I am extremely upset and every time I see her face I want to cry. This cannot happen again in Calgary."
"This what I thought I would do. I would like to make a sign which reads CALGARIANS LOVE AND PROTECT OUR JEWS."
"Then I want to wear a small crucifix and walk back and forth in front of Calgary City Hall."
"I am sixty-eight, a white Catholic Canadian and I am very aware that I am putting myself in danger. But I still want to do it."
"In the past I have not done anything, because in truth I am afraid of what some Muslim would do."
"But now it is time for me to something."
"Our Canada is changing.""We have to have courage today, we have no other choice."
"May G-d Bless and Keep you Laura"
G-d bless you, too my friend.
Please contact me by e-mail if you are in the Calgary area and want to join courageous Calgarians like my correspondent, and want to make a difference.
As Ezra says: Calgary is not a Jew-free zone. We live in Canada, not Gaza. For more about Ezra's upcoming rally, please see Calgary For Israel. The rally will be Thursday, July 31.
Most Jew-Hating Administration in American History Suggests Something "Worse Than Hamas" Could Come After Hamas
Really-can you think of anything worse?
David Goldman says "Maybe this time they'll kill us twice."
Instapundit says "You know what should come after Hamas?"
This story via Reason:
A Pennsylvania man was shot and paralyzed by police after an attempt to serve him papers over unpaid parking tickets.
Has President Obama said a single word about this?
The people who are "pro-Palestinian" side with jihad, and the massacre of Jews and other assorted infidels.
We cannot "fight" antisemitism.
We can only, and should only fight our enemies to their deaths.
Did you ever think that Egypt would be a better friend and ally to Israel than America?
Read this whole thing.
America sides with Hamas against Israel.
What a sick, festering, amateur and antisemitic lot this administration is.

"It’s when, in some sort of nostalgie de la boue, you instead exalt barbarism, that you’re in trouble."
Most excellent, sensible words and a call to action as well.
First of all, "President Fundraiser and Secretary Windsurfer" is EPIC.
It's so good I want to hug him. Err...Rather IT-right.
Whoops. Ha. Silly me.
SIMPLY A TYPO FOLKS, NOTHING TO SEE HERE....
The phrase. I should like to hug the phrase and shower it with my undying, Zionist affection.
WHERE WERE WE???
Hmm. I think we were talking about people who still have balls, yes?
Yes! That's where we were. Right...
SAY CHEESE, JOHN JIZYAH KERRY!
|Bibi: This dumbass is lucky I am not going to kill him with my one bare hand, because I could and I'd love to.|
"Well, President Fundraiser still hasn't said a word, even though, to coin a phrase, if he had a son, he'd look like Martin Wani. But lots of other people have spoken up:
Prime Minister Renzi mentioned Ibrahim's case in his speech to inaugurate Italy's six-month European Union presidency earlier this month."Which comes over as a bit Euro-pompous on this side of the Atlantic, but it's better than two months of chirping crickets waiting for President Nothing to say something in between golf and fundraisers. And the Prime Minister is not wrong. Given what is happening to Christians across the Muslim world, from Nigeria to Sudan to Iraq to Pakistan, when an obviously outrageous case comes up, it's incumbent upon free nations to raise hell about it."
"If there is no European reaction we cannot feel worthy to call ourselves 'Europe'," Renzi said.
AUDIO HERE FROM HUGH HEWITT SHOW.
Which contains this gem. I mean: FOR REAL, MARK STEYN!?!?!??!?!
(FOR REAL, SAYS ADORING STEYNFRAU!!!!)
"John Kerry is the physical presence of American absence."
*Passes out from Smartness Attack.*
PASS THE INFIDEL SMELLING SALTS PLEASE AND THANK YOU
No further comment necessary!
If you haven't, then you must be blind or mute.
What can one possibly say about a populace, a "culture" or nationality that used all of it's precious resources, directed all of it's energy and all of it's manpower to building tunnels underneath the homes of sleeping Jews in order to kidnap and slaughter them.
So, all those "pro-Palestine" people-this is what they want to happen.
If you see someone at a local rally who is pro-Palestine, pro-Hamas, they are identifying with the all encompassing kill the Jews plan.
They are in your cities, and believe me-they will not stop at Jews.
Jews are just the beginning.
There is a little information from Gatestone above, and more in the Hebrew press.
They wanted to do this to sleeping Jews, babies, kindergarten kids, innocent civilians on the eve of the Jewish New Year.
Absolute savage, Nazi barbarians.
The Jews survived the pogroms of the ages, survived the Holocaust, built our state, and "got used to" rockets raining down upon them from territory gained in war and surrendered in weakness for the faint promise of "peace in our time", and now we must worry about armed terrorists with sleeping pills, handcuffs and guns coming up from under the earth, kidnapping us and torturing us, coming up from the earth to murder us?!??!
That is why our soldiers are dying and why there is no such thing as "disproportionate".
There is nothing disproportionate about eradicating evil.
Disproportionate simply means NOT ENOUGH JEWS HAVE DIED.
Our soldiers are dying to prevent armed savages from the hell hole of Gaza, from the epicentre of jihad, coming up from the earth and murdering our babies with joy.
In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined that America would support this vision of what should happen to the Jews.
If you are pro-Gaza, and pro-Palestine, this is what you are-supporting the Hamas jihad plan, kill the Jews 24/7 till your last breath.
My friends, be very wary of the local demonstrations in support of jihad.
Evil, murderous, savage evil may start with the Jews but never end with the Jews.
Ignore this at your personal peril.
IDIOT JEWS HIRED THIS GUY:
"Bilal Mirza was a member of the ADL Seder’s planning committee. ADL New England’s Executive Director Robert Trestan personally introduced Bilal at the podium and asked “those of you who came here with children, those of you who have kids at home” to consider sending them to the interfaith summer camp for some quality time with Bilal. After taking the podium, Bilal proceeded to quote a Quranic verse traditionally interpreted as rebuking Jews for deviating from divine truth."
"These are not the kinds of things that ADL advertises when it sends out the fundraising letters that annually help it net close to $50 million of precious Jewish communal capital. When Bubbe sends that donation check believing ADL’s promises to fight the anti-Semitism and anti-Israelism her grandchildren face on campus, little does she know that ADL is using her hard-earned retirement savings to bring anti-Semites and Israel haters literally into its own tents, giving them career-boosting cover in the process."
More home-grown Jewish idiocy here.

I believe that Calgary's mayor still has not commented on this-please correct me if I'm wrong.
"California Highway Patrol investigators have seized the medical records of a woman seen on video being repeatedly punched by one of its officers on the side of a Los Angeles freeway."
"Chris Arevalo, executive administrator for psychiatric services at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, confirmed that the CHP served the search warrant Tuesday for Marlene Pinnock's records."
"Moving on from this larger wrongness, I'd like to take a little time to point to the complicity of the Associated Press in the low-level whitewashing of this latest development by using that famous law enforcement standby, the passive voice."
"My first notification came to me via Officer.com, whose headline read:
CHP Seizes Medical Records of Woman Seen Punched"Seen punched?" Punched by whom? By the CHP, of course, not that this headline indicates that. As far as this headline goes, it may have just been a random mugging. A more accurate headline would be "CHP Seizes Medical Records of Woman They Were Seen Punching." Clumsy, but more honest."
"The AP buries the lede and other media sites run the feed without even altering it. Of course, Police One took the AP's weak title and made it even worse.
CHP seizes medical records of woman in scuffle with cop"Not only does it side more with the CHP, but it also makes it appear as though the CHP seized her records during the "scuffle."
"We expect this use of the passive voice from police officers. The media doesn't really need to assist law enforcement spokespeople in their blame-deflection efforts. When misconduct allegations arise, they're always followed by details of "weapons discharging" and innocent bystanders "receiving gunshot wounds" and officers never striking anybody but always "responding" to actions, movements or words from some person whose personal safety was ensured by hospitalization."
All you need to know about this megalomaniac is in this essay.
He does have some good insights periodically into human behaviour, but unfortunately his massive ego and hunger for celebrity casts a dark shadow over all of his various enterprises.
Differential diagnosis: Headline-seeking, vain, insatiable narcissist with "do you know who I am" syndrome.
Read the whole thing.
A sitting American president is rooting for Hamas against the Jews.
Caroline Glick spells out the current situation:
"In an interview with Channel 2 Monday evening, Minister Naftali Bennett spoke of a mother at Kibbutz Netiv Ha’asara who told him that her children wake her in the middle of the night and tell her that they hear digging beneath their beds."
"As Bennett said, this state of affairs simply cannot continue. People cannot live in fear that there are terrorists burrowing beneath their homes, digging tunnels to murder or kidnap them."
"These tunnels must be found and destroyed not merely because they constitute a physical danger to thousands of Israelis. They must be located and destroyed, and Hamas’s capacity to rebuild them must be eliminated because the very idea that they exist makes a normal life impossible for those immediately threatened."
"Israel is making good progress. But it hasn’t completed its missions. It needs several more days of hard fighting. Recognizing this, Israel’s newfound Muslim allies have not been pushing for a cease-fire. In contrast, the Obama administration is insisting on concluding a cease-fire immediately."
"As former ambassador to the US Michael Oren told the media, it is clear that neither Israel nor Egypt invited Kerry to come over. Their avoidance of Kerry signals clearly that the US’s two most important allies in the Middle East do not trust US President Barack Obama’s intentions."
"And their distrust is entirely reasonable."

Presented without comment:
"I recently had sex with a woman who writes for the Guardian and in the heat of the moment I said, ‘I love you — you filthy slut!’ I meant it as a compliment! Honest! She stopped the proceedings and gave me a long lecture about how the ‘verbal demeaning of women’ was totally unacceptable. I had a similar experience with a woman of the right. (I won’t repeat what I said because it’s too embarrassing.) But she just laughed and said, ‘Oh, you do say the sweetest things to a girl!’
(WHERE HAVE I HEARD SUCH A COMPLIMENT BEFORE?!?! SOMETHING FAMILIAR ABOUT THIS...)
"What is the appeal of right-wing women to men like me? After all, left-wing men are not supposed to sleep with such women. (We’re meant to find their political convictions too repulsive for that sort of thing.) But politics is rooted in tribalism and dark emotions, as much as reason. To lefty men of my persuasion, right-wing women are the Other; alluring because they are so exotic; exciting because they’re so forbidden."
Not from behind.

Now it's in French.
Never, ever, ever will our murderers and their supporters walk through Israel and say "remember those Jews".
So as heartbreaking as this all is, and despite how utterly stupid some Jews, in power in Israel are for desperately, and pathetically wanting some kind of stupid, prize for saving barbarians at the expense of our sons and daughters (for shame, for shame), we will outlive and outlast.
"Unimaginable restraint" is stupid, reckless and means Jews are helping get Jewish soldiers killed.
This ambassador should be recalled for his stupidity and vapid, hollow mental deficiencies.
This is shameful and stupid, evil complicity in our own murders.
Shame also on the people who applauded him bragging about suicidal stupid-Jew misplaced pity for "innocent" civilians who elected Hamas.
“Israel did not have to send its soldiers into many of the places they are fighting today. We could have given people time to evacuate these areas — which we did anyway — and then bombed from the air all the buildings that were being used by fighters to store and fire weapons. But we didn’t. As we have done time after time, we are sending our soldiers into this hornet’s nest of Palestinian terror that is booby-trapped with mines and riddled with subterranean tunnels.”
Fuck the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Jews whose mental capacity is so limited and so pathetic that they are concerned with pandering to a 'world conscience' that loathes the Jews, and to "saving" the "innocent civilians" who celebrate the spilling of our blood and ululate while ripping the bodies of our children to pieces just as the Nazis did only a short "Never Again" time ago.
"There are cities like Lviv or Chernivtsi all over the world, where within living memory the streets were full of Jews - people went to school with Jews, lived next door to Jews, accompanied their mothers as they shopped from Jews. And now there are no Jews."
"In his what-if? novel Fatherland, Robert Harris captures very well the silence that settles in such communities: no one ever asks, "Do you remember the such-and-such family across the street?" - or what happened to them. Just as, a few years hence, everyone in Sarcelles will agree not to ask "Whatever happened to that pharmacy?"
"Which brings us to the tiny Jewish state built in a sliver of a minority of the total land of the British Mandate of Palestine. Israel is dedicated to the proposition that there should be one place on earth where what happened to the Jews in Lviv and Chernivtsi and Baghdad (once the second largest Jewish city in the world) and Tripoli (which was once 40 per cent Jewish) and all over the map will not happen here."
"Hamas, by contrast, is committed to the proposition that what happened to the Jews of Lviv should happen here, too."
The only time I get pessimistic is when I hear statements like Dermer's that articulate this kind of atypically vapid, utopian, stupid-Jew blockheadedness, and question the degree to which this is official Israeli/IDF doctrine and why.
Enabling the death of your own troops, and bragging about it is not noble, nor Jewish.
Monday, July 21, 2014
“Here’s the difference between us,” explains the Israeli prime minister.
“We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians and they’re using their civilians to protect their missiles.”
"Rarely does international politics present a moment of such moral clarity. Yet we routinely hear this Israel–Gaza fighting described as a morally equivalent “cycle of violence.” This is absurd.
"What possible interest can Israel have in cross-border fighting? Everyone knows Hamas set off this mini-war. And everyone knows Hamas’s proudly self-declared raison d’être: the eradication of Israel and its Jews."
(Actually, it's Jews everywhere, not just in Israel.)
I can't even call it an essay.
It's more like an obituary.
Read the whole thing.
Remind Me Why We Shed Blood For These Savage Barbarians? Mullah Rapes 10 Year Old Gir in Afghanistan (Hey, She Came Onto Him), and Family Wants to "Honour" Murder Her To Restore Family Honour
"It was bad enough that the alleged rape took place in the sanctity of a mosque and that the accused man was a mullah who invoked the familiar defence that it had been consensual sex."
"But the victim was only 10 years old. And there was more: The authorities said her family members openly planned to carry out an honour killing in the case – against the young girl. The mullah offered to marry his victim instead."
"This past week, the awful matter became even worse. On Tuesday, local policemen removed the girl from the shelter that had given her refuge and returned her to her family, despite complaints from women’s activists that she was likely to be killed."
"The accused mullah, Mohammad Amin, was arrested and confessed to having sex with the girl after Koran recitation classes at the mosque on May 1, but he claimed that he thought the girl was older and that she responded to his advances."
"The girl’s own testimony, and medical evidence, supported a rape so violent that it caused a fistula, or a break in the wall between the vagina and rectum, according to the police and the official bill of indictment. She bled so profusely after the attack that she was at one point in danger of losing her life because of a delay in getting medical care."
The only thing "Never Again" means is because we Jews have a state, we will never again have to count on the "mercy" of any other nation for the right to exist.
To project any other meaning onto that trite phrase is an exercise in wishful thinking, and therefore dangerous to the Jews and to the West.
And enough with the misplaced pity for our enemies.
Therefore, despite the heartbreaking and excruciating losses of Jewish lives, the Jews will go on and as a nation we are in a better position now than ever before in our long history.
So "Never Again" means that Jewish families become bereaved. Many.
It means that we must never again have any doubt that Europe is a cesspool of Jew-hate and no Jews should contemplate living there, no Jew should enrich Europe in any way-financially, politically, intellectually, technologically or otherwise.
It means that John Kerry can go screw himself.
It means that the Hamas cheerleaders in the most anti-Jewish American administration ever can also screw themselves.
The people running America from the White House right have a lethal combination of mental and intellectual retardation with a whopping mother lode of antipathy and venom toward the Jews and Israel.
That's called Judenhaas.
Europe remains soaked in blood, lots of Jewish blood among the blood of many others. But while other may try to eke out a secular, post-Christian life as the caliphate further ensconces itself on the continent, there is no Jewish future in Europe whatsoever.
A picture of London from Douglas Murray: antisemitism central that quite literally paralyzed London. Quite an accomplishment. Congratulations, Britain.
London looks like Gaza City.
So does downtown Toronto.
Pogroms in France, yet Reuters uses scare quotes for "Antisemitic".
You cannot be pro-West if you are pro-Palestinian.
You cannot root for the death cult and be part of a thriving society bound for prosperity and human achievement.
When all you applaud is death, nihilism and killing Jews, and that is tolerated and encouraged by your host country, your fragile democracy (or other system), your society will start to crumble and disintegrate, as we see now.
Countries and societies are making their choices now and they will have to live for now with those choices and die as a result of them.
Israel and the Jews will continue to thrive as will societies that value 'their' Jews and Judeo-Christian values.
Am Yisrael Chai.

For shame. Poor little guy.
Anyway, please spread the word.

This is not a feel good story. Even the headline should make your blood boil.
"VA gives new wheelchair..."
They deign to 'give' him something that he needed for years?
A veteran WITH NO LEGS could not get a new wheelchair from your stupid, crappy, bloated, evil bureaucracy.
This is SHAMEFUL.
This should make Americans feel deeply ashamed. It should make you angry and understand that bureaucracies help very few people in reality. Bureaucracies are designed to preserve the good life of the bureaucrats.
Sure, there are good people working in vast administrations, but the tendency toward anonymous, blameless, shiftless wading-in-the-water till I get my pension mentality-with no accountability, is prevalent because these behemoths are run by humans, very flawed humans.
America- you need to be ashamed at how the disgusting VA bureaucracy treats veterans, who have put their life on the line and lost limbs and parts of their souls in order to keep you free.
G-d bless the Lowe's employees who helped this guy, as they note-without paper work-just doing the right thing.
"Sulsona, who lost both of his legs after stepping on a land mine in Vietnam 40 years ago, encountered an unexpected act of kindness last week after his wheelchair fell apart in Lowe's Home Improvement Center on Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor"
"After seeing what happened, three employees at the store told him, "we're not leaving here until the wheelchair is fixed," and proceeded to repair the broken parts."
"No one needed permission, there were no forms to fill out, no incident reports -- they just saw a guy in trouble and helped," he said of the three workers."
"On Tuesday, after waiting more than two years for a replacement wheelchair, Sulsona said the VA finally delivered a brand new wheelchair to his home."
Three good men, random strangers in a store did in a few hours what the entire, disgusting VA bureaucracy would not do for this veteran in two years of pleading.
Does it get more disgusting than this?
Here's the VA Spokesjerkoff:
"We were very grateful that this was brought to our attention," said VA spokesman Jim Blue with the VA New York/New Jersey Healthcare Network."
(Could that sentence be any further laden with dogsqueeze?)
"Too many veterans wait too long to receive their health care and benefits and this has never been acceptable."
Really? If it's not acceptable, then how come these warriors are expected to accept the unacceptable?
How come Americans tolerate the unacceptable?
This passive language-"it's unacceptable" just translates to 'glad to rid my hands of this'.
It's a general vague, pass-the-buck phrase that means absolutely nothing.
Contemptuous, despicable and typical.
Shame on the VA system and shame on every American who accepts the unacceptable without even a peep of protest.
Please be more like the Lowe's guys.
This week I have had many thoughts about G-d, conversations also. My son was unwell Sunday (better now) and it was scary. Then two days later, we had some incredibly good news about one of his conditions-pretty much miraculous.
In the meantime, I heard about a terrible accident involving a friend's child so if you pray, please remember Nosson Ben Sarah in your prayers, and the family requests also do continue to do good deeds in his merit.
When I saw this double rainbow, it really took my breath away and reminded me of the Almighty.
Hashem is everywhere, all around us.
Blessed are You, Lord our G‑d, King of the universe, who remembers the covenant, and is faithful to His covenant, and keeps His promise.
If you thought the Jews were dastardly and clever, wait till you hear about the Sooooper Seeeekrit Jew-Sensing Missiles that Hamas has come up with!
Just because they are losing, that they aren't dangerous.
An analysis from the very smart and gutsy Khaled Abu Toameh here-is it about the money and "honour"?
Just don't forget, they want to kill us all-all of us infidels.
Just a reminder.

I must say it's quite artful the way he weaves together the related threads of pathological Jew-hatred that are found in Europe today (as they always were).
A friend of mine used to say that the far left and the far right meet at Jew Hate Junction.
Steynian understatement of the year (And I'm seriously keeling over about the phrase 'restive Muslim populations' - I mean for real and not for joking, OMG could you not just die?!?!?)
"At one level, it's a form of displacement. Britain, France and other countries are Islamizing fast, and native hedonists and their restive Muslim populations have profound disagreements on where their societies are headed: The post-Christian Euro-left think they've built a secular society where gay marriage and gender fluidity are to be celebrated; significant percentages of young Muslims want to live under Sharia and believe apostasy should be punishable by death. Reconciling these conflicting visions will prove tricky."
And then this utter MARKSTERPIECE:
"Ethnic Europeans and excitable young Muslims [Ed. note: HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA] don't agree on gays or women's rights or bacon butties or clitoridectomies or Page Three girls or cousin marriage, but they do agree that, in the famous words of the late Daniel Bernard, French Ambassador to the Court of St James's, "all the current troubles of the world are because of that shitty little country Israel".
(I'm dumbfounded by these two simply brilliant paragraphs and Steyn's gift for moral clarity, his devastating aim and fortitude. Seriously, my mouth is pretty much gaping open in this kind of HUH/DUH HOW DOES HE DO THAT kind of pose. It's not very attractive, and I'm not particularly proud of it, but you'll keep that between us, right?!??!)
I may have to frame that second paragraph.
Is it wrong that I'm kind of in love with it?
DON'T ANSWER THAT.
Do not, and I mean, do not EVER, EVER EVAH EVAH EVAH, harsh my SteynBuzz, mmmkay?
(P.S Jew haters can go f&ck themselves. Am Yisrael Chai!)
Do read the whole thing.
I think it's important to read because she really nails the word "scientist" and frankly, the over credentialization of humanity is a real problem in many, many realms.
You must now buy your house from a "realtor" (with credentials) and your children are taught not by teachers but by "educators".
All the puffed up puffery has contributed to a real decline in the meaning of anything and therefore-everything.
The internet has democratized many things-and that's good!
Few people use travel agents nowadays, or bank tellers. Industries evolve as technology democratizes. The internet is a huge part of that. Digital printing will do the same.
Think of the print industry! Remember the first time you ordered business cards?
Remember Atari? Your VHS?
She concludes this very clever piece with the following:
"...I find the democratization of climate science by internet to be absolutely fascinating, and I would like to facilitate this in any way that I can."
And that, my friends is what is freaking out Big Climate.
I AM DYING.
The second video is making me cry I am laughing so hard.
I'm gonna die. That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.
Holy crap that is funny stuff.
Seriously, what is so difficult to understand about 'if you don't like my videos, don't watch them'.
It's very simple, and that's what most normal people would do.
But for the perpetually offended, grubby masses, it's not enough. You cannot have that choice. You must listen to them. What they find offensive must be shut down.
Don't let people shut you up or shut you down.
"On July 13, Bernard Abouaf, a French Jewish journalist, posted on his Facebook wall: “I just passed through one of the truest moments in my life.” A bit earlier, he had been an eyewitness to a pogrom attempt."
"About one hundred Muslim thugs had gathered in front of the Don Isaac Abravanel synagogue in Central Paris, a few blocks away from Place de la Bastille (Bastille Circle), and threatened to storm it. Two to three hundred worshipers, who had gathered for a pro-Israel religious service, were locked inside. There were five police officers to protect them–and two dozen Jewish youths trained in martial arts who were members of the Jewish community sponsored Security Organization or of the more militant Jewish Defense League."
"The demonstrators–almost all of them of North African or Subsaharan African origin–shouted explicitly anti-Semitic slogans, notably “Itbah al-Yahud!” (Slaughter the Jews, in Arabic.) Any time they would spot Jewish-owned shops or professional offices they would cover the doors or windows with stickers urging, “to boycott the racist State of Israel.” On Sunday, several thousands pro-Palestinian and pro-jihadist demonstrators marched for miles across the city, from the heavily Muslim Barbes neighborhood to places with large Jewish populations and many synagogues like the Bastille area. The mobsters that attacked the Don Isaac Abravanel synagogue were some of them."
From another eyewitness:
"Yesterday, a part of my love for France went away."
"Another Jewish journalist, Daniel Bensoussan, told The Jerusalem Post that the demonstration on Sunday, and others on Saturday, was organized by the far-left New Anticapitalist Party. Thousands of people – leftists and Muslims from the suburbs, among them many veiled young women – marched in the streets of the capital screaming: “Allahu akbar! We all are Palestinians! Israel murderer!” Bensoussan said."
"Never Again" is bullshit.
Because it's AGAIN, NOW.
The only places that Jews should even consider living in are: Australia (but they have their Lebanese issues), Canada, America (notwithstanding the anti-Jewish Obama administration) and Israel.
"Rarely do I feel more at home than among the anti-Communists. They are my tribe, or archipelago of tribes. I have always been drawn to them, I think, because they tell the truth."
"They abide by the Solzhenitsyn doctrine “Live not by lies.”
"And people in the Free World — to say nothing of the unfree world — are always lying about Communism. No one lies about Nazism, outside of David Irving and the Iranian government. Many lie about Communism."
"The figures offered a slightly smaller assessment of the size of the gay, lesbian and bisexual population than other surveys, which have pegged the overall proportion at closer to 3.5 or 4 percent. In particular, the estimate for bisexuals was lower than in some other surveys."
I think there is one litmus test for these articles: do they mention the jihad or not?
If they do, then the writer gets it.
If they don't, the writer can still be considered bright and make some excellent points, but he or she just doesn't get it.
And as Holocaust scholar Michael Marrus once said about the Holocaust (and remember, the spirit of the Nazis is what is guiding Hamas, they are the "neo-Nazis"): there is a difference between "knowing it" and "getting it".
This is a good one from Brendan O'Neill at Spiked.
It identifies the current "anti-Israel" movement as being nakedly antisemitic. So that's a good start and this article is very well written and clear. But, unfortunately, there is no mention of the jihad.
But this one from John Podhoretz is a real disappointment.
It's another Daniel Pipe-esque piece that analyzes a bunch of factors at play in the current battle, without mentioning Islam or the jihad.
Therefore, it is a gutless and pointless article from an otherwise smart man.
Smart man, stupid article.
What a pity.
It is pathetic when Jews who should know better, (especially Official Jews and Jews in media, academic and politics) shy away from mentioning the religious element of this war.
Tip toeing around jihad does not make you or anyone else safer, chaverim. It makes it worse.
In the meantime, the culture of death and those who identify it will continue to serve their death cult masters, and dance with blood on their hands.
Israel and the Jews, and the non-Jews who support us will continue to celebrate life, and to preserve life- even at the risk of losing one's own life to save others.
|Israeli reservists shelter a child with their own bodies when the siren goes off.|
So shame on all of you gutless, syndicated, cocktail circuit, eunuchs who won't utter the word jihad.
It's really at dinner parties where the president really let his incredible intellect loose!
Because being the president of the (former) super power is NOT intellectually challenging at all.
Swoon. Oh swooony swooon!
Isn't he so dreamy???
At dinner parties, he can really be himself and talk about art and architecture! So much more interesting and like, real, you know??! So much better than talking to Rethuglicans about icky, stupid meanwich politics! See?
"Freewheeling, with conversation touching on art, architecture and literature, the gatherings are a world away from the stilted meals Mr. Obama had last year with Senate Republican leaders at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington."

Apparently, being the head of a terrorist organization in Gaza is very profitable!
"In 2010, Egyptian magazine Rose al-Yusuf reported that Haniyeh paid for $4 million for a 2,500msq parcel of land area in Rimal, a tony beachfront neighborhood of Gaza City. To avoid embarrassment, the land was registered in the name of the husband of Haniyeh's daughter. Since then, there have been reports that Haniyeh has purchased several homes in the Gaza Strip, registered in the names of his children - no hardship, as he has 13 of them."
"According to sources in Gaza, Haniyeh's wealth, like others high up in Hamas, came primarily from the flourishing tunnel industry. Senior Hamas figures, Haniyeh included, would levy 20 percent taxation on all of the trade passing through the tunnels"
"Hamas's heyday came after the overthrow of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, as its parent organization the Muslim Brotherhood was growing in popularity in Egypt."
"In those days, Hamas leaders and their associates were not afraid to show off their ostentatious wealth. Gaza's market for luxury villas costing at least a million dollars was booming, most purchased by people associated with the establishment of Hamas."
"A Gazan familiar with the real estate market summed it up at the time with a quip about a Hamas crony who had recently acquired a luxury villa: "Two years ago, he couldn’t afford a packet of cigarettes."
While ppl of Gaza suffer b'coz of Hamas's adventures, its leader Ismail Haniya jets off in luxury to safety in Qatar pic.twitter.com/O44XeFHI7H— Tarek Fatah ਤਾਰਿਕ (@TarekFatah) July 14, 2014
Robert Kennedy and his 43 mistresses!
They were listed under "G" for "goomah" the Italian word for mistress.
(To be fair, the same thing could probably happen here in Canada and it would be CRAZY here, too.)
For Shame: Jihadist Murderer of Lee Rigby Allowed to Appeal Life Sentence Because of "Mental Illnes"
Do recall that the shouts that were heard as they slit the throat of innocent Lee Rigby were "Allahu Akbar".
Just a reminder of who we are dealing with.
"In broad daylight, an attacker and an accomplice repeatedly stabbed and tried to behead the man in front of dozens of passers-by."
"After the attack, speaking in a clear south London accent, the man named as Adebolajo said: ‘You people will never be safe. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.’"
"Throughout the frenzied attack the two killers shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ – Arabic for ‘God is great’ – then demanded horrified witnesses film them as they ranted over the crumpled body."
In court, as a reminder, the murderers had to be dragged out as they screamed "Allahu Akbar".
Apparently, in the United Kingdom-"Life means life" actually means "dhimmi bullshit".
So, exactly what kind of mental illness are we talking about?
Would anyone care to elucidate?

But from this headline it's not really clear if the guy is Archie's best gay friend, or his best friend who is gay. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT, ETC, YADDA YADDA.
Apparently all that matters now is that a new era of embracing sexual diversity through COMIC BOOKS is upon us.
Why does Archie have to die?
That is the most pathetic, stupid and silly thing.
I am so glad that this kind of trite crap was not part of Archie comic narratives when I was little, and I'm glad my kids don't read comics.
Is nothing sacred?
(Don't answer that.)
He is a Palestinian who has publicly written about the press freedom he enjoys in Israel, and comments on antisemitism and Middle Eastern and Palestinian affairs. That takes a lot of guts and I commend him.
I strongly recommend that you follow his writings.
This is an interesting piece-is Egypt rooting for Israel in Gaza?
Is Egypt really hoping that Israel will destroy Hamas?
"Some Egyptians are even openly expressing hope that Israel will completely destroy Hamas, which they regard as the "armed branch of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization."
"Sisi's Egypt has not forgiven Hamas for its alliance with Muslim Brotherhood and its involvement in terrorist attacks against Egyptian civilians and soldiers over the past year."
"The Egyptians today understand that Hamas and other radical Islamist groups pose a serious threat to their national security. That is why the Egyptian authorities have, over the past year, been taking tough security measures not only against Hamas, but also the entire population of the Gaza Strip."
