Dennis Prager: On the Death of My Father

Absolutely beautiful.

Do read the whole thing. It's just outstanding.

There is so much wisdom in this essay, it's one of Prager's very best.

This is so insightful:

"Just as children can be a source of pride or shame to parents, parents can be a source of pride or shame to their children. In some ways, even more so...If your parents bring you no shame, be very grateful. If you’re proud of them, celebrate."

"No matter how old you are, as long as a parent is alive, you are still a child. It is only after both die that you cease being a child. And then, all of a sudden, not only are you no longer a child, you are also next in line."
