Mark Steyn Suggests the Majority "Queeny, Hysterical Republican Bigshots" Start Talking About Things That Actually Matter

OK I have to say that I laughed out loud reading this one.

I started laughing at the title "The Superbowl of Superholes".

HOLEY!

It's superb!

It contains many opportunities for a belly laugh, the kind of laugh that is totally cleansing because there is so much damned truth in the quip.

Steyn is absolutely right that "a citizenry that votes for an asshole is less deluded than one that votes for a messiah".

Look at Israel.

Nobody says that Israeli PM Netanyahu is a nice guy. He may be-I don't know, who cares?  Because when the possibility of nuclear annihilation looms over your country, you don't want nice.

Steyn continues:

"Thus, voting for, say, Silvio Berlusconi (a kind of wealthier mini-Trump, and yet the third longest serving prime minister in Italian history, after Mussolini and Giolitti) is less psychologically unhealthy than voting for Barack Obama. And, come to that, less damaging to republican virtue than voting for the previous guy's wife or brother."

This isn't the first time I have been impressed with Mark Steyn's Asshole Analytics.

At my old blog, he came to my defence when an angry, stupid, Polish Jew-hater took issue with some of my memories of my Polish grandparents. It was magnificent, and he brought the term "assholian" to the world.

(If the Steyn link goes live, I'll update.)
