Yes, I've written about Mark Steyn's After America before-and highly recommend that you pick up a copy-especially now that it's out in paperback.
I know it's American Thanksgiving, and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. That's actually why I was reluctant to post another After America themed story, but sometimes they just jump out at me and make me pause for a while and think about the future of America and of Western democracies in general.
But I generally try to look at things the way they are, not the way that I wish they would be.
That is not to say that there is no hope-there is, but we have to take stock of the very harsh reality facing us in the Western world.
We must steel ourselves for many tough years ahead.
We must prepare our children and many future generations for a very tough slog ahead.
